School for everyone
Mon May 17 2004

I got some good initial feedback on my English paper today. I need to tweak it a bit for the final copy due Thursday. Fortunately there isn’t much to tweak, just some punctuation specifics that go along with the MLA format of writing. After this we only have one paper left in the class.

I went in and signed up for a summer class here near me. It is a history class of the US from 1939 to present. More importantly it is one more required class I can check off my requirement list. It starts tonight and goes through July 13. Now I just need to wait for my June financial aid check to arrive so I can sign up for the next computer course I will be taking over on the campus this summer. That class goes from the end of June through mid August. I think. I’m not sure on the dates yet as the bulletin I have is missing the first couple pages which have the dates posted on them.

I had originally hoped to do some camping and maybe a road trip with the family this summer, but Hubby’s work schedule has him gone most of the summer, so I might as well take advantage of being home all the time by taking courses all summer.

Speaking of school… I’m very amazed and proud of #1 so far this last quarter of his school year. He has really seemed to focus more on getting his work done and turned in. His most recent progress report came in and all of his grades are vastly improved from his last report card. On the classes that showed having missing assignments he actually worried about it over the weekend, and I got an e-mail from his teacher saying that some of the missing work was found and turned in. I’m hoping some of this rubs off on #2. His grades are only slightly improved. I did get an e-mail from another of his teachers though, telling me that he informed her that he wants to bring his grades up. I am happy that he is expressing this to someone, I just wish I saw evidence of it at home!

Well technically I have more than 4 classes left to go. I have an externship I have to do next summer. After my externship then I will have completed everything I needed to complete to finally graduate. The externship is something like 6 weeks. About 10 days after my externship I get to take my certification exam. Hopefully I will pass it and by September I can offically say I'm a CMA. Hey that's pretty cool. I'm going to have a title now. LOL

My kids are out of school for the summer this week. At the teacher's mtg for my son, we were pleased to know that his progress has allowed him to move into all main-stream classes w/observation. Should there be any problems, we can take of them as quickly as possible. He is such a smart funny little boy! Have a nice evening.

School is really fun. I would want to study some more for my masteral given the time and money to do it. My computer knowledge, I gained though through self-study. I am very much interested to learn how to do web designing so am trying to learn through this net. :)

Ever think about putting in a baby cam to keep an eye on the boys while your gone? You could link to it on your lap top. It would be funny. Your gone, they think your not there, they do something bad, and suddenly from a remote speaker your booming voice says, "KNOCK THAT OFF!" The looks on their faces would be priceless. Maybe you could get a guy to do it and they would think it was GOD. HAAAA!
