Head Out On The Highway, Looking For Adventure
Sat May 15 2004

Anytime I spend several hours in the van with the kids it is an adventure, to say the least.

What a day. The boys and I drove down to visit my Bro and SIL. The kids had a blast hiding treasure with their uncle for geocaching. Head over to Oscar’s diary and ask him about Gnomeland Geocaching, he can fill you in with all the nitty gritty details!

While he and the kids trudged through the great outdoors, SIL and I talked gardening. We ran to the store to breathe in the aromatic ambrosia of the Heliotrope Marine plants that were there (I definitely need to get lots more of those for the yard) and chit-chatted about everything else under the sun.

On the way home we stopped by to pick up all the goodies to ship up to my Dad. There wasn’t nearly as much as I thought there would be, so hopefully shipping it will not be as tedious as I thought it would be.

On the trip down I did discover one extremely irritating thing. My cell phone had absolutely no coverage down there. I had coverage in that area when I was down to take my MIL to her doc appointment the other day, but nothing today. I tried calling someone, but nobody could hear me now. Bummer. I definitely need to call on this. Allegedly I have nationwide service. I could understand being in one small area where a transmitter was down, but I had no service for a span of about 100 miles. NOT acceptable.

OK, time to go duct tape the kids into bed and head towards slumber land myself. Wish me luck!

Also, for those who have asked, this is the upside down “Topsy Turvy Tomato Planter”

Sounds like you had a fun day. :o)

As it is taking forever for the tomato planter picture to load (but not a broken link), I can assume that you don't mean to imply that Hugh is the tomato planter? He may like tomatoes, may even have planted a few in his life time, but I doubt he is THE planter. ;o) (It's early, I'm tired. Forgive me.)
