While I pound away, I’ll focus on the fact that there is less than 12 hours until Van Helsing has the first showing of the day. Hubby and I will be going to see it tomorrow afternoon. TOMORROW!!! That should keep my mind distracted from watching the clock waiting for my body to be ready for sleep.
Survivor tonight was a bit of a surprise. The person who was voted off was not at all the person I thought it would be. The best part of who was voted off tonight? It wasn’t Rupert. I don’t think he will, but I’m hoping he wins. Rob and Amber irritate me. They both got cars, time to share the wealth and let one of the other two win the million.
In other news…
The kids heard a radio ad for a casting call on Saturday, looking for kids from 7 to 25 to be in a (local, nothing major) film this fall. They asked me about it, so I set up an appointment to take them up (the casting is by appointment only). I explained to them that since they have no experience with acting of any kind, chances are they won’t get anything. But it will be good practice for them if they want to try again in the future.
I strongly suspect we will get up there and discover that while there may actually be something going on this fall, the “casting call” is more along the lines of getting people to sign up for the school and agency that is holding this. I can live with that. I’ve had LOTS of practice saying no. Hey, I can even say it in a few different languages!
Either way, since #1 has been bugging us for about a year now about wanting to be an actor when he grows up, and wanting to find a way to get into it now, this should be a good experience for him. Of course, since #1 is doing it, #2 wants to be part of whatever his twin is doing, so he will be going up for this also. #3 on the other hand will be staying here with Hubby. I’ve no doubt by all the experience #3 has had with Drama Queen type behavior that he would be a good actor, but I feel he needs to be a bit more mature, and less likely to engage in his dramatic behavior before I will take him somewhere to flex his dramatic muscles.
I think I‘m most looking forward to this as it will get me out of the house for a couple hours, and give me a legitimate reason to not do laundry. I’m always up for any reason to not do laundry. I will probably take a notebook with me and work on my next essay while we wait. Either that or my English book and read up more on the MLA format so I can give a good impression of having done it with this next essay.
Wow, I actually feel tired now. I’m going to go to bed before this feeling disappears!
