Up & at 'em!
Sun Apr 25 2004

#1 decided we all need a good morning meal today, so he is up and making pancakes for all. He doesn’t look entirely awake, so Hubby is supervising him. It took some convincing before he accepted that shredded cheese is not a good ingredient for pancakes.

Meanwhile, we are telling #3 that because his jeans have torn knees, that does not make them “holy” and definitely appropriate church clothes. He wasn’t happy about it, but he is in changing into something more appropriate.

#2 isn’t quite awake, and is upset that his twin is in the kitchen. He usually likes to cuddle with his twin on weekend mornings for as long as possible, and this has been taken away from him this morning with #1 busy in the kitchen.

As for me? I’m waiting for the dryer so I can have some clean pants to wear. Doesn’t that sound exciting?

Ho-hum.

Oh no you don't! The last time I fell for this, it was a five question interview, and it stole nearly a week from my life as I made up questions for anyone and everyone who asked before the arbitrary deadline I had to impose. I'm not going there again. No way, no how, no sir.

Good luck if you end up with any takers, my friend.

Okay, I haven't had a week stolen this way, so I'm game!

    1. What's the warmest room in your house?
    2. How was your home heated when you were ten?
    3. If you were an animal, which would you be?

    Hugs,
    Ani

Soon you will have a garden for the nose!

Just yesterday, I buried my nose in the middle of my friend S's lilacs. I don't remember anything after that...... :-)

You are one lucky lady to have kids who want to help out with making the breakfast! Shredded cheese is a staple for teenagers, so I'm not surprised that #1 wanted them with pancake. I used to have peanut butter stirred into my coffee and cheese on my raisin muffins when I was 13. It's an adolescent thing, I think.
I used to have jeans with torn knees too. Again, it's also an adolescent thing. I used to try to cultivate an air of scruffiness about me so I wouldn't look so preppy and middle-class.
Oh, to be 14 and insane again! :o)
What a happy little domestic scene your entry is!
Happy Gardening and Have a Good Week!
    Love,
    E.L.
