She just keeps going and going and going and going and going.....
#1 seems to be in a cheerful mood this morning. I'm hoping it carries over into school, and particularly into his art class where he will be faced with fixing that project that caused all the problems yesterday.
I've spoken to him about it, so he knows it will be coming up. I've instructed him to ask the instructor for an example or for help. I'm DESPERATELY hoping he listened to me and remembers what we talked about once his class starts.
If I get another call today I'm going to be seriously mad. Perhaps the humiliation of being spanked at 14 years old will sober him up and make him realize that we are serious about him making an effort and not just using his disability as an excuse to act out when he disagrees with something he is required to do.
Yes, I realize that a good percentage of the time he is unable to control this. I know #1 well enough to know that he takes advantage of this a LOT. If he doesn't want to do something, he will act out rather than comply, then blame it on the disorders.
It is times like that when I need a good solid wall to beat my head against in frustration. All of mine have dents and cracks. Does anyone out there have one I can borrow?
