The alarm went off WAY too early this morning despite my having set it for a later than usual time last night. Oh well, it gave the kids a chance to sleep in a few minutes and me a chance to practice my snooze hitting skills.

While I'm tempted to go back to bed after the kids are off today, I'm not sure if I will. I have a lot of things that need to be attended to that have gone ignored for the last 5 days. My desk for one, of which I haven't seen the top of since around New Years or so. I'm told I have a desk made from wood, but cannot confirm that as it's been WAY too long since I've actually seen it.

Top of my to-do list? Bills, bills and more bills. Followed closely by laundry, laundry and more laundry. Oh how exciting. NOT.

I also need to get over to the Y today and sign the kids up for classes for the next session. #3 has asked for gymnastics. #1 has informed me that he wants to be an actor when he grows up, and actors need to know how to dance; so could he take dance lessons? #2 indicated he wanted to get back into racquetball. I let them know that I can only take them to classes on Tuesday and Thursday, so I will try to accommodate their requests. I also informed them that I want them in at least one activity, so if I couldn't get them into something they requested, I would try for swimming. None of them argued with me on this, so maybe that's a good thing?

You are an eminently sensible parent. Teenagers should realize that driving licences and cell phones are privileges that they have to earn. If they cannot handle responsibility, then they kiss their privileges bye-bye. They will thank you for this later on, just as I thank my parents for not spoiling us when we were younger. We are more disciplined, level-headed and responsible as adults as a result.
I like doing the laundry but that's because we have a machine. I wonder how women used to cope before washing machines were invented. No wonder so few women worked outside the home back then! The laundry was enough to last seven reincarnations!
Our YMCA offers Chinese lessons and harmonica lessons. Would your kids be interested?
    LOL!
