I love naps. Naps are good.
After finally getting up and getting my act together, I started the obligatory laundry and dishes, then I was off to take #2 to the doctors. I had hoped to get some reading done for my class while waiting for his appointment. The kids usually bring something to keep them busy while waiting, but not today. #2 wanted to chat, and chat he did. For 45 minutes while we waited.
Don't get me wrong, I love talking with my kids. For #2 to be that talkative is quite unusual. #3, yes. But #2? Not so much. He enjoys the occasional conversation, but usually nothing too lengthy. I enjoyed our conversation, but found myself a bit distracted by area and integrals.
This afternoon has been hum-drum, but dynamic. The kids have been restless. There is too much slush and swampy wet outside for them to play, and not really any friends that are available for them to go hang out with. #3 has ventured out to find a friend, hoping that his friends are done with their homework. The dog is restless for some reason, and driving everyone crazy. She keeps trying to crawl up in our laps, and just does not understand that she is too big to be a lap dog. She finally settled for under the desk on my feet.
