Last Night
Thu Jan 08 2004

Thankfully driving last night was not a nightmare. The temperature stayed right between 35 and 36, so I only had to deal with mush on the off roads and parking lots. I have come to the decision though, that whoever decided school should be in session last night should personally go shovel the sidewalks and parking lot at the school. The parking lot was a nightmare. It looked like it had not been driven in before yesterday, and walking through it was less than pleasant.

Class last night went OK, it should prove to be interesting. There are 6 people in the class. Four are in Math 126, and two of us are in Math 125. If the format continues like last night it may work out well. The instructor gave a small assignment to one of the classes (last night it was my class) then lectures the rest of the class for the first half of the class time. That part of the class is then given their assignments and let go for the even, and she lectures the rest of the class for the remaining class time.

Under normal circumstances the class would be from 7:50 - 10:30. This breaks it up nicely so our brains are not numb by the end of the class, and I'm hoping it works out well for the rest of the term.

Teaching two classes in the same room at the same time? Sounds like they found a way for something that sounds complicated to work. Glad it didn't go and freeze on you last night.

Sounds like a nice class format.
It's very slushy around here too, but there is plenty of snow. The main roads are clear, sideroads are yucky.
Still can't see what is under it all, I can't wait for the ground to appear.

Naps are really one of the best things on the planet, no question about it!!! I couldn't get by without sometimes.

It must be nice to have your kids want to talk to you at great length, even if you are distracted. I think mumw as pleasantly surprised the first few times my brother and I overcame our teen angst for that!

Boring days are good. Boring days mean nothing bad happened. I aspire to boring days.
