Waking to a Winter Wonderland
Tue Jan 06 2004

We awoke this morning to snow. Lots and lots of snow. We are in heaven!

It has been snowing steadily for about 7 or 8 hours, and we have a wonderful thick fluffy white blanket covering out world. We are all enjoying it for now, as it is supposed to warm up to the 40's later today and the snow will quickly be replaced by flooding. Let the good times roll!

Just remember ... you are not permitted to allow that stuff to head east.

Oof. I don't even want to think about it after his body finishes the digestive process with those.

You are getting snow and we are getting freezing rain with a bit of wind to it.
Let the good time roll with warmer weather so all this stuff can melt and we can worry about flooding instead of freezing pipes. :)
Mine are home from school today too. At least the electricity is on...for now.

In the future, tell him to use a TINY bit of minced garlic, not powdered. Eggs with garlic are really quite good but they have to be done right.

Hi there. I was reading Traumamama's diary and noticed your comment about wanting her snow. I was going to come here and tell you that your more than welcome to have the 2-1/2 feet that we have but I see that you finally got some. If you need anymore just let me know. I'll be glad to send some your way since I'm sure we are going to be getting at least another foot before our winter is over.

I'm glad you have the snow, and I don't.

As for garlic and eggs, little bit'll do ya. I like garlic and I use garlic powder, but very lightly on the eggs. I did chuckle, though, while reading your entry.

    Shalom

I'm sure you know we Portlanders are in the same boat down here. It's beautiful but RC just grumbles. He's got good reason, I suppose, what with three of the houses having frozen pipes. I don't envy him the trips under them he's facing.

I'm trying to gear myself up to take the camera outside and get pics of the ice-covered hawthorne berries, but I'm strictly a greenhouse flower! brrrr!

    Take care, and hugs,
    Ani
