While I'm a ways off from transferring, I've been looking at a couple of the local schools with them in mind for transfer.

The first of these schools is St. Martins. The reason for this one is simple. Location-location-location. They have a campus on base, so I would only have to bee-bop down the road a mile in order to go to school. The drawback? $$$$$$$ They may be conveniently located, but I will have to sell my kids in order to attend. So that probably won't be where I transfer to.

The second, The University of Washington at their Tacoma campus. The advantage of this? $$$$$, and Hubby and I can both root for the same college football team together. The disadvantage? Location-location-location. While it is reasonably close by, getting to and from there, as well as dealing with parking will be a bitch. It wouldn't be so bad if I could rely on Hubby to take care of anything that comes up with the kids at school during the day. He can't do that, so if anything happened with the kids, I would be out of school for the rest of the day, potentially missing several classes. I'm hoping to have a philosophical discussion with Hubby about this though. Since the kids were babies, I've always been the one called if anything happened at daycare or school with them. I need to convince Hubby that it is his turn to lend me a hand with this so I can attend school. I'm not sure how responsive he will be to that though. He will be gone for several weeks at a time several times a year, so for those times it will be situation normal as far as me putting a screeching halt on my day to take care of the crisis of the moment.

I love my kids, but boy do I get sick of being the only one to handle these things. Recently I've called Hubby at work, and if I can get a hold of him, I foist it off on him to go deal with. OK, OK, not all the time. Only when I've had to already deal with the school in question more than once that week. And in actuality, I've only done this to him twice.

My last option, Pacific Lutheran University. I attended there briefly almost 20 years ago. I've always loved the school and campus. Unfortunately, it has all the disadvantages of both of the above schools, with no real advantage or convenience other than my feelings about it.

I had briefly considered UPS, but there wasn't anything that really drew me to that school, and the fact that a few of my aunts and uncles graduated from there wasn't compelling enough for me to consider it.

I will probably end up going to UofW, but until then, I'll keep looking at all the schools.
