We have new neighbors. Thankfully they have kids that are more in the age group of my kids. Out of all the neighbors we have (and we have many), there are only 2 or 3 with kids above the age of 7. I would estimate the average age of kids in this neighborhood to be between 2 and 4 years old.
With my boys being 9 (10 next month) and 13, it is difficult for them to find other kids to hang out with.
Our new neighbors have two boys that I have met (not sure if there are more or not) that are 11 and 12. They have spent the last few hours over here jumping on the trampoline and getting to know each other. It is such a relief to FINALLY have some kids in the neighborhood that have more in common with my boys.
We still have a few more empty houses to fill, with luck we will get some more in the same peer group for the boys to hang out with.
