That Golden Voice

For those who have never read my diary before, or those who may have missed a post or two, Hugh Jackman (a.k.a. the object of my obsession) is currently in NYC starring in the production of The Boy From Oz. A musical play about the life of Peter Allen, who died from AIDS in the early 90's. Yes, in this show you will get to see Wolverine shake his groove thing as well as the maracas in tight white pants and loud Hawaiian shirts.

A few weeks ago he appeared on Good Morning America, where he seemed to woo the lovely Ms. Sawyer with his performance of Not The Boy Next Door (thanks to Lilybunny for her awesome web site).

Reading accounts from folks who have gone to see this, that had either known or seen Peter Allen live state that he nails every aspect of Peter's personality and characteristics to a T. One comment I got a great chuckle was from a lady who had thought that the best part of the show would be when Hugh changed shirts on stage. She was so caught up in the show that afterwards she admits she hardly noticed the bare chest due to the emotions she was caught up in with the story.

Ah, were there ever a time I wished I lived closer to New York City, it would be now. Then I think about their weather and various other aspects of the East Coast, and I am filled with renewed appreciation for the West Coast. Hey, maybe I'll be lucky and they will take the show on the road. It could happen! Probably the same time pigs fly out of my butt...

Hey, and just what is wrong with the East Coast? Hmmm? Oh yes, I forgot, NJ is what's wrong with the East Coast. Sorry for my outburst.
