I’ve found the perfect fruit combination, for the ultimate breakfast shake. Well, at least for me.

If you would like to experience this ambrosia for yourself, I will gladly share the recipe with you.

Blend together the following:
1 fresh pineapple
2 mangoes
2 pints fresh or frozen strawberries
4 large bananas
2 Tbsp lemon juice

Place in large container and freeze it. Each morning, mix 1 cup of low-fat soy milk with 2 ice cream scoops of the fruit mix. Add 1 tsp flax seed oil. Blend until smooth.

Calories for this will be between 250 & 300 depending on how generous you are with the ice cream scoop. If you are playing around with different ingredients and want to work out the calories for that, check this site out.

I think I’m going to try this recipe next time with kiwi also. I’d also like to play around with papaya and guava with these other ingredients. My neighbor adds carrots to hers and raves about it, so I may give that a whirl also.


OK, now I’m hungry again…
