Thank God it's not broken!

Ah, this has been an entertaining day. Around 1 this afternoon I got into an argument with the lawn mower (OK, I was walking backwards, didn't notice it and tripped over it.) which landed me on my butt, holding my right foot and making up new and colorful words.

I stuck ice on it, popped down some Motrin, and waited for Hubby to be done with work and school. We hopped (literally) over to the ER around 7 and X-rays show no break, but a severe sprain.

Aarrgghh!!!!! I don't have time for this right now!

For the next few days ice and tub-o-Motrin will be my best friends. It is safe to say I won't be going jogging any time soon... not that I jog now mind you, but I won't be taking it up for a while.

I think maybe I will follow the example of my SIL from last fall and see how well frozen sausage works on a sprained foot. I tried the frozen ham. A 23 pound ham was far too much weight on the foot and I woke the neighbors up with my screams. The popsicles just don't seem like they would be a good option, so I think I will stick with the rolls of Jimmy Dean sausage and frozen peas.
