Tuesday Morning
Tue Mar 25 2003

What is it about Tuesdays that just doesn't really inspire any particular kind of mood or direction? I definitely have the mid-week apathy thing going on today!

My big plans for the day? Get caught up on homework and get ready for my test tomorrow. Yippie-Ki-yay!

While #2 was easy to wake up this morning, he is difficult to get out of the shower. He got done with it, the water is turned off, and now he is crouching down squeeking that he doesn't want to leave the warm steamy place. Time for the bucket of ice water that I keep handy!

I thought Hubby would call last night to let me know he got to Texas OK. Since I didn't see anything about any America West planes crashing or having any other untoward events, I know he is there. The kids were disappointed to not get to talk with their Dad, but ice cream seemed to divert their attention from that for a while.

Tomorrow #2 has a doc appointment and we get to see if he gained weight since his last appointment. I really hope so. I don't want to have to take him off his medication if he has not. Fortunately he has been eating HUGE breakfasts since the last appointment as well as the shake before bed. I am pretty sure just from eyeballing him that he has grown what seems to be 1/2 an inch in the last month. We will see tomorrow.

Oh well, I'd better go get the crow bar and pry #2 from the shower so he has time for breakfast this morning!

LOL@ the hair cut. I'm hoping that my son passes that phase by. The advantage of just one is that there's no older ones to influence him.

That only happened to me once. Missy was four and gave herself a crooked bang cut. I was more upset as to why she had siccors and where they were. She clamed up and would not tell me where she put them. I ended up emptying her entire bedroom except the mattress and boxsprings and I looked under there too.I was upset and very angery out of fear she would hurt herself. Mom came over for lunch because I was so upset. We were sitting there at the table when she pulled a string out of her sleeve and asked Melissa to go get her something to cut off the string. Melissa got right up and went into her room and got them. They had been hiding under the matress on the opposite side by the wall, and I had just missed them. She had put all the hair she cut off into a little play dish to conseal the evidence. She did not get her room back for a few days. I was SO PISSED!
#2 has always wanted to look "different". I excpect him to have hot pink hair by the time he is 16.
