School Books
Mon Dec 30 2002

Hubby and I went out and got our books for next quarter today. He is a bit frustrated about it. Classes start next Monday, and one of his classes have no books designated yet, and online there is no information about what will be going on with the class (as there is with his other class).

Hubby likes to read the first few chapters and go to the first class prepared, but that is hard to do when the teacher does not have his/her act together enough to have material for the class yet.

I got a chuckle when I got my book. There were no used, so I have a brand, spanking, still in the shrink wrap new book. Boy I hope I find a used book next quarter! I forgot how much text books cost! I think I may also check next term to see if I can find it for a lower cost on Amazon.com! At least there it will probably be available used.

    Like your new layout!
Boy, oh boy do I know about new text books! If you try to sell them back they have either changed the text to a newer edition, are using a new text all together or only want to pay $5.00 on a book you paid $72.00 for. I ended up keeping many of my books for future reference. I actually just paid $67.00 for two cardiology books for next semester and felt I got off cheap!
Good old internet, everything is on it, the good, the bad and the ugly. Sorry about #1.

I haven't a clue what to do about your #1. But if you figure it out? Share it with us? Cause my #1 and #2....ewwwwww. The family keeps muttering something about genetics, that hardheadness runs in the family. Who? Me? Hardheaded? Naahhh. :D

How does punishment work when he's in Alaska?

Do your rules and punishments still stick up there, or are you just punishing him during his stays at home?

    Just wondered...

I'm not in college yet, and the part i am most not looking forward to is book expenses. Ugh. I don't envy you.

    heh.

Have a happy new year :)

    In answer to your comment:

I was into X-Men when i was a wee'un...i used to watch the little cartoon show.

But i never thought about my name as being x-men...though, now that i think about it, it kinda sounds like it doesn't it? cool.....

i haven't read the x-men comics, though i'd like to....i just haven't scraped up the money yet. maybe some day :)

There are kids who test the limits. There are kids who ignore the limits. There are kids who set new limits. And then there is your #1. I have to say, he's persistent in his endeavors toward his goal, if not particularly stealthy!
