That's OK, it gives me more time to get all my gift's wrapped today. I'm just waiting for the laundry to be done in the dryer so I can fold, put away and clear the table for prime wrapping space!
I noticed something this morning when I took Rocky for a walk. Around here, when there is the slightest bit of precipitation, the ground naturally gets wet. Being that the sidewalk is on the ground, it too gets wet. Now, sidewalks that, when dry, appear to have no moss or other forms of plant-life growing on them, suddenly spring to life slimy-slippery invisible growth when wet. Our sidewalks around here are quite hazardous when they are wet. How did I notice this you may ask yourself? Well... Rocky saw a squirrel. You've heard of snow skiing, and water skiing. Have you ever heard of sidewalk skiing? It can be done. I think I skied for about 12 feet before I jumped onto the grass to stop myself and my eager companion. Gladly at no time did I land face first or on my butt.
Walks in wet weather from now on will be done in the grass or on the street where it is not slippery!
