It should be interesting. I think I will be sure to take him for a long walk before going there to put him in a good mood!
The kids don't appear to be ill, and Hubby has given me his word that he is not coming home to do homework today. With any luck, I will get all the gifts wrapped! I'm also keeping my fingers crossed about the Christmas cards and the laundry.
12 days until #1 comes home!!!! We are all really looking forward to it. #2 & #3 don't understand why they can't go to the airport with whoever goes to pick him up. They don't understand the security issues at the airports. With a minor traveling alone, ONE parent is allowed to get a pass and go to the gate to meet him. No one else is allowed past security. The same goes for when he leaves. For anyone who has never had their minor travel alone, there is also a $30 "handling fee" that is paid at the ticket counter when dropping the child off. Again ONE parent can get a pass to take the child to the gate. Once there, and when the plane is ready to board, the children are called up first, then the parents instructed to leave immediately after the flight attendants take him/her onto the plane. I am told that the children are seated in the seats closest to where the attendants are (near the galley I imagine). They are then given various activities to do and kept close watch on by the attendants. Of course I've only been told this by the reservation agents, and #1 has neither confirmed or declined this. He was too excited about being able to travel alone to notice any special attention!
