Well, Rocky is home and waddling gingerly around the house. He has a slightly dopey look about his eyes, and when he lays down, he does so VERY carefully. I think his previous flopping down with his legs thrust behind him will be curbed for at least a few days. If I could figure out a way to do it without causing him more discomfort, I would find a way for him to have an ice bag on his surgery site.
Last week the docs had said that while he was under anesthesia for the neuter, they would check to see if stones were causing the bladder infection. Good news is, no stones! This is a big relief on my part as I don't know that I can afford that surgery right now!
I don't know if every man does this, but I noticed something odd with Hubby. When I talk about the dog being neutered (particularly when I use the phrase chop his little balls off) he visibly winces and re-arranges his posture to a more... protective position.
Hmm. Odd.
