Time keeps on slipping...
Mon Oct 07 2002

I can't believe that it is Monday again already. It seems that Friday was just a few moments ago, and only 80 shopping days left until Christmas. Ugh.

We heard a rumor that Hubby might soon receive a portion of his back pay in the next week or so. They told us the amount, it is only 3% of what they owe him. Oh well, some is better than none and every bit counts.

In our house, we have two bathrooms. One would think that this would aleviate the morning bathroom backup. No. For whatever reason, everyone in the house uses the master bathroom. Kids stand or sit, lined up to use the shower/sink/toilet while one bathroom sits dark and empty. The kids cannot explain why they will only use my bathroom, they just repeat that they have to. Kids.

#2 has a morning ritual for school days. After he struggles out of bed, he makes his way to the shower. There he lingers until the hot water begins to turn cold. By that time he is awake enough to get dryed off, dressed and come to the kitchen to eat breakfast. Unless I can force myself out of bed before 6:00, I need to wait a couple hours until I get my shower. A small price to pay in order to have a wide awake son.

LOL @ your boys! What on Earth is a bionicle? A bionic icicle? Never mind, I'll check out the link later. :-) I hope you had fun shopping, and have an idea of what to get the twins. I like the fact that you plan ahead to avoid the Xmas Eve rush.
    Love,
    E.L.

your could always do what my mother used to do to me when i was little. After a few minutes (plenty of time to get clean) she'd turn off the hot water.

Beleive me, after a little while I started taking less time and was DEFINITELY wide awake

we grew up on a farm with tankwater, considering there were 7 of us (5 kids), a shower any longer than 3 minutes had dad banging on the wall and yelling
its funny, even now i can't have long showers unless im frozen to the bone and in dire need of thawing

Took your advice and ate chocolate. That did help my chocolate craving.

Unfortunately, I?m part of the geeky computers-and-engineering crowd so mostly everyone?s single. No babies to sit.

Thank you very much for commenting on my diary! I really do appreciate it.
And yes, after that whole breakfast event I had a rather uneventful, not so spicy day.
