    Happy Birthday to your hubby!!

Oh the joys of cleaning out their rooms! I did that just the other day with my second child. She's not as neat as the other two, and it seems no matter how hard I try to get her to keep it picked up, it doesn't work. I have to go in there and help her weed through it!

My kids actually did their own rooms not long ago. They both decide to rearrange. Regarding the privacy issue, I am careful of cleaning too much. I tell them that if they keep their room picked up, I have no reason to go in them.
Happy Birthday to Mr. Hunka-Hunka husband!

Wanna know a lasagna trick I discovered? Don't bother cooking the noodles in advance. Just add a litte extra water to the tomato sauce, and they steam themselves very nicely while being cooked. they're easier to alyer this way, and it save a fair amount of time in cooking and extra pot washing.

Hi and thanks for your comment in my diary. It made me laugh to see you write about Australia being like some kind of 'pure and untainted' culture. As though we live life as if it were in the last century! How cute. It might be nice if we did; all those horses and carriages, long frocks and the rest.
But seriously, I've been to America and it is not all that different from here. It looks much the same, but the attitudes and values of the people are a little different, I think.
    Yours, G-Chick.

No sane person wants to see anything like that happen again.
But I also think that military action is not the only answer.
Other things are needed as well.
I'm not at all averse to swift and decisive military action when it is warranted.
But the long-term solution lies in a humane approach - from both sides.
Take care, enjoy the cuddle ;)

I guess I must fall into one of the "feel-good, earth-muffin groups" since I harbor doubts about extending the warzone out from Afghanistan, a place where we have a legitimate complaint with the Taliban, to other areas that have not made direct attack on us. The "War on Terrorism" is unfortunately named, and perhaps not as well conceived as it might have been. One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. Shall we take on Ireland, Israel/Palistine, India, Brazil, Japan - all places that terrorist groups have been active in - as we extend our "war on terrorism"?

I am not privy to the confidential reports that government officials get telling them the facts that have been gathered confirming intents of aggression towards the US. I can only hope that we as a nation are not being misled.

I can tell you that we as a nation are not responsible for the religions and customs of others. Indeed, what could I say to the African woman who wishes to walk bare chested into an American supermarket? Our laws do not permit this, yet in many parts of tribal Africa this is a freedom afforded the women. The United States should not be the moral arbitrator for the world, but should instead concentrate on justice.
