...by coming up with Johnny Bravo?

And can ANYONE explain Sponge Bob Square Pants to me? Don't EVEN get me started on Ed, Edd & Eddy. Can anyone explain to me why there needs to be DragonBall AND DragonBall Z? Pokemon? I get queasy at the thought.

Powerpuff Girls I can almost stand, Rugrats and Doug I find amusing, and I find I can tolerate Recess and PepperAnn.

I will be SO glad when the kids outgrow cartoons! (Although Hunkka-hunkka hubby still watches them, so I'm not holding my breath!)

    I cannot STAND Johnny Bravo!

Pepper Ann I enjoy some, and I like Rugrats also. THe one I raelly like, is As told by Ginger. That one's good, and can enjoy watching The Wild Thornberry's with Slim in the afternoons. *L*

I'm a cartoon lover though... Just not some of the weirder ones.. like Powerpuff Girls, or Dragon Ball. Yuck.

I Agree the cartoons today are awfull. They don't even try to be educational anymore unless you want an education in crime, low morals, violence, and stupidity. Heaven forbid the kids might have to think about real cause and effect or about feelings. I was a very unpopular mother when my son was in Kindergarten because I would not let him watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or any other violent show until he was in second grade or older, and I knew for sure he would not reinact what he saw on the playground. Parental Sensorship is the best defence. If there is only one decent cartoon available then they only get to watch one cartoon. Too bad, But a needed action.

Well, it'd be even nicer for you to have the 3 boys AND the piece of paper.
I personally watch almost no TV.
I don't watch any of the series like Buffy, X-files etc.
I DO watch some sport, an occasional documentary or a serious movie - preferably foreign with sub-titles (or something current on DVD).
Pay TV is a waste of money for me.
I'd rather spend my time reading, and that includes the Internet which I classify as reading.
My mind is to knowledge like a a sponge is to water.
I like it like that - "To each his/her own".

Hey, you got up to 4,000!

As for careers vs. kids, all I can say is different strokes for different folks (I just made that up). Your boys are a great trade-off, though.

The one thing you didn't put on your list of what those with degrees in philosophy/liberal arts can do is teach. Next time around, I'm going to be a crazy professor. :D

Many of the worlds most brillient people and especially the philosophers had very lttle education. Albert Einstien dropped out of school in the fifth grade. Not having that piece of paper will ever stop a person from being a brilliant mind. Most brilliant minds are brilliant despite the piece of paper!
