Go Yoda...Go Yoda...
Sun May 19 2002

Yes, we finally saw it, and I have to agree with several comments I have read throughout DD and other internet sites, the last 45 minutes ROCKS. I was a bit surprised at the very last scene, I had thought they would've left that for the next movie....

For anyone who has seen it already, did you notice the shadow on Tatooine?

Ah, yes, the next movie. If Internet rumors are true Hugh will have a part in it. If this comes to fruition I will DEFINITELY get there on opening day!

Naw, you're not a racist, but he's a jerk. I hate the way some people throw that word around so freely. It hurts the people they say it to, and it hurts the people who use it. Because it's overused, people begin to overlook true racism. (Like the boy who cried "wolf")

I think it's great that your boys are taking Tae Kwon Do. Wish I could do it!

You should have given him that good 'ol Allimom smart remark.

Something like, "Why would I be racist when there are a hundred other more creative reasons to not like you?"

    ;)

No, you're not a racist. That guy was only a professional victim. Stand up for yourself and your children; you did the right thing.

How dare someone curse over a cell phone in a theater! I would've been tempted to take that phone and shove it where the sun doesn't shine...He'll get what's coming to him. One day.

I agree with Damselita. He's basically doing the reverse of what many people who are racist do. He's making an assumption because you are white.

Personally, I would right about it in the letters to the editor. You may never see that young man again, but maybe he, and others, will see himself in that article and take the hint.

My pet peeve.. is the 'victim' mentality... blame everything on someone else..

He didnt say.. well. yeah..you do have kids.. and i am embarassed to have forgotten to be respectful..........

instead..in his embarassment he points the finger at you... hoping to start something where the blame shift can take the place of his accountability..

Grr.. i feel my soapbox growing taller!!!At least there are a few of us up here together!

And i am far from racist too.. i have a mulato father.. black/white/everything friends and previous significant others.. but i run into that attitude here in atlanta all the time!

Equal parts lemon juice, honey and Jack Daniels (black label, preferably). Better than NyQuil.

I am so sick of the Race Card being played every time a black, or "African American" I guess I should always refur to myself as a "French, English,Scottish American" Everytime "they" don't want to take any accountability for their actions. Blam it on everyone else, and everyone MUST be saying negative things ONLY because they are BLACK! Who gives a fuck! Only the Black guy who sees in colors. You just saw a rude person. He could have been green and he would still have been rude. I am so fed up with this constant wineing I would have gotten into it right there in the theater. I'd LOVE the chance to tell him off. I'd say... "So what your black! You have a rude mouth and if that is how you want "your people" represented then shame on you! I know educated black men who would never use that language in frount of children, if your too ignorant to know better than it has more to do with your intellegance than your race!"
