I hate leaving my beautiful home, but it will be so wonderful to have my whole family together again!!!
Went over to Bro's house early today (well, kind of early). I had been borrowing the Mazda as my truck has a mild case of indegestion. He has a extremely fantastic neighbor who for a case of beer and a bit of cash changed my battery and fuel filter. This was one of those times I wish I had slept a bit longer as he called after I left to say it was OK to bring the cat over today. LUNAtic will be with us for a bit longer though. The little minx is tryint to sneak up on my male Great Dane's tail right now, hoping not to wake him. Oops, didn't quite make it. They are doing a stare down right now, she precariously crouched over his tail and he looking at her as if to say "Go ahead....make my day".
I would love to be able to mentally plan out my new house, but it is a bit hard not having seen it yet. I wonder if I will have room for a garden again? It brings me pleasure to no end to plant several dozen zucchini plants and randomly place the ripe zucchini in the cars of people who are foolish enough to leave their windows down. Convertables are the best, you can really fill them up! Seriously, my two Danes go nuts over zucchini. If I let the zucchini get too large (about the size of a baseball bat) and give it to the dogs, they have a blast playing with and eating it. My dogs are very fond of veggies. They are the only dogs I know that will actually steal salad off the table. No veggies are safe in my house.
Well, the cat is trying to walk across the keyboard now. I had better pick her up and put her in front of the dog to distract her.
The Unicorn There was green alligators and long-necked geese The Lord seen some sinning and it gave Him pain Green alligators and long-necked geese Old Noah was there to answer the call And Noah looked out through the driving rain There was green alligators and long-necked geese The ark started moving, it drifted with the tide You'll see green alligators and long-necked geese
OK, this has been going through my head for almost 5 hours now. Hopefully putting it down will help to banish it!
The Unicorn
by Shel Silverstein
A long time ago, when the Earth was green
There was more kinds of animals than you've ever seen
They'd run around free while the Earth was being born
And the loveliest of all was the unicorn
Some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees
Some cats and rats and elephants, but sure as you're born
The loveliest of all was the unicorn
And He says, "Stand back, I'm going to make it rain"
He says, "Hey Noah, I'll tell you what to do
Build me a floating zoo,
and take some of those
Some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees
Some cats and rats and elephants, but sure as you're born
Don't you forget My unicorns
He finished up making the ark just as the rain started to fall
He marched the animals two by two
And he called out as they came through
Hey Lord,
I've got green alligators and long-necked geese
Some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees
Some cats and rats and elephants, but Lord, I'm so forlorn
I just can't find no unicorns"
Them unicorns were hiding, playing silly games
Kicking and splashing while the rain was falling
Oh, them silly unicorns
Some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees
Noah cried, "Close the door because the rain is falling
And we just can't wait for no unicorns"
The unicorns looked up from the rocks and they cried
And the waters came down and sort of floated them away
That's why you never see unicorns to this very day
Some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees
Some cats and rats and elephants, but sure as you're born
You're never gonna see no unicorns.
We have really been blessed by the Lord that all of this seemed to have come together at once for us. We have been trying to get up North since last July, and now at the same time it looks like we have a buyer for the house, we also have housing up there. There is a time for every purpose under heaven.
I live in my own little world. But it's OK... they know me here.
Well, I have been wandering around in a daze for the past hour or so. I found out we will "probably" be moving the weekend of the 26th. I guess I need to go through all the kids rooms and shovel as much stuff as I can to the Goodwill so we don't have quite as much to move!
I am going to love moving, but I will hate going through the Internet withdrawl until I can get back online!
