Packing & Cleaning
Mon Feb 17 2014

We've got parts of the house packed up, and more yet to go. We aren't actually moving for 3 weeks, although we will be shuffling some boxes over there in the meantime.

I've come to realize something that I had known before, but ignored as often as I could.

I have a LOT of stuff. Like, a ridiculous amount of kitchen related things. I have to ask, does one woman REALLY need 5 wooden spoons? Do I really need enough Rubbermaid/Tupperware/Other storage containers to put up all of the leftovers for my entire neighborhood?

Probably not.

Methinks the Good Will is going go get several boxes from me. Woo-Hoo! Charity deductions for next years taxes!

Which reminds me, I need to pay my taxes. This is the first year we haven't gotten a return, and it was shocking.

It's a great opportunity to lighten the load for sure.

    I'm so excited for you!

AND to see your chickens when you get them.

Pictures of the existing coop please!
    :-)

I had never heard of Buckeye chickens. I looked them up.

There are other breeds that are good foragers, but they can also be flighty and unfriendly. (I have read).

Anyway, happy moving? if there is such a thing?. heh heh

wooden spoons are very useful. Although I use plastic ones! And it's a fact that as soon as you sort out your storage and remove items then you suddenly find you need them again.

Good luck with the move. Packing is a great time to sort out stuff and clear clutter. When we cleared out all but the barest essentials to move countries it was positively liberating. But after nearly 5 years the junk has accumulated once more.
