Ponderings of a Slightly Buzzed Mind

One glass of wine, and I'm HAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPYYYYYYYYY!

I've been looking around lately, and realize that I REALLY need to de-clutter. I’ve gone through my dresser and closet a little bit to get started, and just a brief run through resulted in 3 bags of clothes to take to the Good Will. Imagine what I could do If I went in depth!

I also need to address my bookshelves. We have a LOT of books. I don’t want to part with any of mine, and Hubby doesn’t want to part with any of his. I think I can solve most of my book collection with a Kindle, except for the tech manuals. All of Hubby’s are tech manuals or other types of How-To books. I don’t see that those would translate well on a Kindle, even if they are available in that media.

Speaking of de-cluttering, we come to the subject of my pantry. It’s not so much that it needs to be de-cluttered as it needs to be organized. Particularly as I need to make room for all the applesauce and apple butter I’m preparing to put up. I’ve also faced the fact that I need to thin out my cookware. I hate to part with any of it, in the back of my mind it is whispering “But you might need it to cook Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner!” I need to do it though, and I know I need to do it. Perhaps this weekend I will bite the bullet and just do it.

Maybe.

I’m not going to get started on the desk or the garage. Just thinking about those makes me exhausted!

Oh, and it’s about time to clean the fridge again. And the oven. And….. I need a maid.

OK, time for another glass of wine so I can find the happy feelings again!

I wish people like you and Yetzirah would keep your cleaning projects to yourselves. I feel like such a slob, and you guys come along and tell us all about your closet emptying, and such.

My sister is coming to visit in October, so I guess I'd best get busy. *sigh*

    Too much thinking is paralyzing.

    Ask me how I know.

    ;-)

Don't bite off more than you can do in short bits of time. It's AMAZING to me what can get done this way!!!

RYC to Welshamethyst: Don't throw out the extra odd-paired shoes. There's an organization that collects such shoes. I can't remember the name of it, but you should be able to find it thru one of the search engines. They also provide shoes for amputees who need only one shoe.
