So, on Sunday I went from store to store and EVERYONE was out of de-icer, rock salt, and the likes.
The kids had shoveled the driveway and sidewalk for me, but ice had become the enemy.
I rummaged throughout my pantry and came across a bag of pickling salt I had purchased last June with the intent of making pickles during the summer (which I never got around to).
The lightbulb went off over my head.
I don't know what my grass will look like come spring, but as of now there is no ice on my walk or driveway and the pickling salt is now all used up.
My tailbone appreciates this more than words can convey!
