This & That

Time is speeding by rapidly. It’s hard to comprehend that Hubby has just passed the halfway mark of his trip. Only (approximately) 10 weeks; 70 days; 1680 hours; 100,800 minutes; 6,048,000 seconds. Hardly any time at all!

Mom and Dad are due to fly south for the winter tomorrow, and should arrive here sometime Friday. Just in time for the Quilting, Craft and Sewing expo at the local fairgrounds.

#1 is coming into mid-terms in the next week or two. He is currently taking Human Anatomy and Astronomy. He seems to really enjoy the Anatomy class, and is bored beyond belief with the Astronomy class. So far (from what he has told us) he is doing well in the Anatomy class. We haven’t gotten much feedback regarding the Astronomy class. I’m hoping he is at least passing it.

I’ve got Tuesday off, but work Monday and the rest of the week. Can anyone explain to me why The Powers That Be, who decide these holiday things, can’t make these non-holiday holidays be observed on Mondays or Fridays?

Yesterday #2 and #3 stayed home while #1 and I went to see my Grandma. They were finishing their slave labor items to end their grounding. I had left a list of chores for them to have completed by the time I got home. They accomplished their tasks, but today #3 is well on his way to being grounded again. He went out to hang out with friends. I had him take my cell so I could keep in touch with him, and told him to be home by 5. It’s 5:20, and he’s not answering the cell phone when I call.

That boy will never learn. He will be 15 next weekend, and at the rate he is going, he is going to be grounded for the rest of his 14th year.

Well, it’s dinnertime Sunday evening. I guess I’d better find something for dinner. I’m thinking… McDonalds. Or PBJ’s.

Hey there! Great to visit again! Sounds like life goes on huh? my #1 is 10 already and I believe i have grounded him with consecutive terms until he is 30 - (grounded means you find things to do that i dont know you are doing... that i wouldnt want you to do, like sneak that DS thing into another room... or play with that robot thing until i come to make sure you are cleaning your room.... ) ( yeah i got it covered!)

I dunno about your boys, but my boys seemed to plan on getting in trouble.
