Hubby Is On His Way
Sun Aug 31 2008

Two O’clock came awfully early this morning, too early for normal people.

Good thing we aren’t normal people.

Hubby and I were up this morning at 2, shuffling his bags from the house to the truck, and we were off to the airport. I noticed something almost immediately. It normally takes an hour to an hour and a half to get to the airport from our home during the day. The middle of the night/EARLY Sunday morning is a whole different story. Forty minutes flat. We were astounded! Had we known this we could have slept until 3!

Goodbyes were said, promises to stay safe (by him) and not go postal on the kids (by me) were made, hugs and kisses exchanged, and Hubby was off for the sandbox.

I’m home now, and starting the waiting game for Hubby to get home. I’m going to need several things to take my mind off of that.

I do have a passel of berries in the freezer to convert to jam, some of which might happen today – or maybe not.

I do have a basket of laundry to do; again, maybe today – maybe not.

Right now, I think I need to take a shower and become human again.
