I got warm fuzzies from the people I will be directly working with, as well as some folks in other departments.
I think one of the things I'm rather excited about is that the facility is a 15 minute walk from the commuter train stop. Unless I have an appointment or something else going on, I won't have to wade through traffic every day! Now I just need to go find where I can purchase a pass for the two different transit systems I'll be using to get there (one for my county and another for the commuter train) and I will be set!
Oh, and it might be a good idea to get a schedule for the busses and train while I'm at it...
I've got work tomorrow and Saturday at Sears, and then I think I may be done. We found somebody to fill my slot, and she started training with my counter part today and again on Friday, and with me tomorrow and Saturday. My counterpart has put together a step-by-step guide of everything we do, so it should be a smooth transition. I might have to come back next Saturday just as a follow-up (my counterpoint will be on vacation next week, and with me leaving there we're kind-of throwing the new person to the wolves so to speak). That's OK though, I am due for an oil change in all of my car's, so I can still get my discount!
