Back In Black
Sun Jan 13 2008

Hubby and I went walking again yesterday, and plan to do so again today. Between the walking, Motrin and more applications of ice, my back is no longer feeling like a red-hot poker has replaced part of my spine. It's still a little tender, but not bad by comparison!

The game yesterday was disappointing. The Seahawks got thoroughly spanked by
Green Bay, and I overheard someone at the store comment that they will now be cheering for whomever plays Green Bay.

OK, I've put off chores long enough. Time to go face the mountain of laundry and various other tasks awaiting my attention. Yippie.

I always liked the Packers. (Sorry about the Seahawks, though)

Glad to hear your back is feeling better. Seems you're doing something right.

Amish Friendship Bread sounds wonderful. How do you get a start?

Bummer. It probably isn't kosher. Flour and leavening (yeast) should be kosher. I'll have to check with my teacher of Kashrut. I'll get back to you on it.

Gold Medal flour and Fleishman's yeast are kosher, and that's what I use when I'm making bread. There must be a way to start a batter. Somebody did, sometime.

Thanks. I'll go to that site. Milk is a problem only if it's being served with a meat meal. And, I do use kosher milk, too. If I start this with all kosher ingredients, then it is ritually kosher. Keeping in mind, of course, the other fiats connected with the recipe...no metal, etc.

    Thanks.
