Gone Fishing

The pic of #1 above was taken a few years ago, but I didn't have a camera with me today so I'm recycling that picture.

After work today, #1 and I went to pick up my co-worker (D) and her son (C). #1 wanted to take C fishing. C had never been fishing before, and it's safe to say that even though they only had one little nibble, they had a blast.

D and I set up camping chairs in the shade and watched the kids while swapping war stories (doesn't that sound better than gossipping?)

#1 and #2 had school orientation today. They thought that in addition to all the pictures and so forth, that they would get their schedules, but such was not the case. They have to go back to school next Friday to pick up their schedules. Is it just me, or does that seem to be a HUGE waste of time?

I love fishing. I went fishing A LOT with my father and grandfather as a kid, but only a BUSY MOM truly understands the BEAUTY of fishing...sitting quietly and doing next to NOTHING for hours at a time...

    Ahhhh...so peaceful...so relaxing...

Fishing has become my new hobby. Hopefully, I will never actually CATCH anything because that will require me to get up out of my chair and DO something...

Orientation and no schedule? Excuse me if I'm wrong, but doesn't orientation also include room assignments, teachers, oh and by the way Schedule?

Oh golly. Gotta find me a fishing buddy. Haven't been fishing in absolutely ages. When I was a kid, I learned stream fishing. Then as an adult, ocean fishing. Never did catch much, but sure enjoyed the outings. And a catch-up-on-the-news buddy? What could be better!

    Bless the day
