Well, I got #2's room mostly cleaned. I had to stop to go buy vacuum filters before I was completely finished. Now I just need to wait for the plastic parts I put through the dishwasher to dry completely, put the new filters in and finish vacuuming. There are a couple things that need to go back into his room, then the part of it I'm doing will be done. I didn't do his closet, he will have to do that Sunday. I also didn't do 2 shelves on his book case as there are things there for CAP that I don't know if he still needs or not.

But... all furniture was taken out of his room, I vacuumed the snot out of those areas, furniture moved back into his room and rearranged so I can walk through the room without bumping into anything, everything taken off all horizontal surface, the surfaces and the stuff have been wiped down with a damp cloth and put back, and I was just to the point of vacuuming the center area of the room when the filters got so clogged that the vacuum stopped working.

Since that coincided with dinner time, #1 and I made a run to Walmart for vacuum filters and gel inserts for my shoes, a stop by Popeys for a spicy chicken dinner, then to Sears to get #1 some shoes.

I wasn't going to buy him shoes today, except for the fact that he got a call today telling him he got the job and he starts Wednesday. Since he needs really sturdy shoes for work, I wanted to give him time to get them broken in. So he got a (slightly) lightweight short combat-style boot that he wore tonight to take Stormy for a walk in and start getting them broken in.

He is so excited about this job he is almost literally vibrating. He hasn't been able to sit still since getting the notification, and has gone through all his clothes to make sure he has a few different things he can wear to work. He had a talk with me about wanting to save half of his paycheck towards getting his first car on or shortly after his 18th birthday in February. We talked about the financial responsibilities that go along with that, and he is starting to realize that being grown up and paying for things is not as much fun as he thought it might be. That doesn't stop him from wanting to do it anyway!
