It's TOOOOOOOsday
Tue Jan 30 2007

Of course, it doesn't mean anything that it is Tuesday, but it's Tuesday nonetheless.

Hubby applied for a job a while back at a unit up in Seattle, and he found out yesterday that he got it. It will be a good career move for him, but the commute he will have to deal with will suck. That’s OK though, he won’t be there forever, just a few years at most. Hopefully he will travel less with this new job. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that.

School is going OK. I think I’m caught up on my homework for two of my classes, well on the way towards being caught up on the third, and hopefully I’ll be where I need to be on the fourth class.

Work is work. It drives me nuts that I’m doing a job that is so mindless. I’m looking forward to being done with school so I can find something that challenges me. I don’t really want to find anything full time until the fall, that way I don’t have to worry about all three kids being alone at home during the summer, but if a good opportunity arises, I may take something full time. With that in mind, I’ve been working on updating my resume. It has been years since it’s been updated, so I need to find something online showing what the current resume trend is. What is acceptable resume wise seems to change more often than people change their socks.

OK, maybe not THAT often, but it seems like it!

OK, back to homework. Wish me luck!

Sometimes mindless work is just the thing to give you time to think about more important things!

How many miles is the commute? If he can be home on weekends, that'll be a big plus.

So, quit reading here, and get back to homework.

I'll agree, mindless jobs are a horror. I might moan and complain about my job but the challenges are legion and I have to use my brain on a regular basis. Can't you smell the hair burning from there??????

I think I'd go with the "both"!

And I have no idea whatsoever in this world what you're talking about.

Well, I type resumes for people in my job and I can say they haven't changed much. I see some creative ones, but readable is always the best way to go.

And you know, they make chocolate beer, including Samuel Adams Chocolate Bock. (I've read it gets great reviews. Have to try it sometime. ;-)
