The Neighbor Saga Continues
Mon Oct 16 2006

I wasn’t around for the big excitement this weekend. I took #2 and #3 and went down to my folks Saturday afternoon through Sunday afternoon, and missed the excitement that night. Apparently the kids across the street had a party that got WAAAAAY out of hand, erupting in a brawl around 2:30 Sunday morning. They took the fight out to the street and surrounding yards, with the male party guests throwing fists and one female party guest with a baseball bat smashing windows in the house, holes in the walls inside, and any person who got close to her. The fight went mobile at one point when a bunch of the brawlers jumped in their cars to chase each other, tearing through a couple surrounding yards in the process before bringing the fight back to the house and inside right before the police showed up.

All the neighbors had called 911, and about 5 cars responded. Hubby thinks the female bat-wielding guest was the only one arrested.

Last night, thankfully was quiet all night long. No cars or motorcycles coming and going at all hours.

I had hoped for the same tonight, until I looked outside a few minutes ago. There are already 4 or 5 cars parked out in front of the house. I’ll be keeping the phone next to my bed and sleeping lightly tonight. I hope it is quiet, but at this point I think that hope may be futile.

    Wow! That's scary!!!!

Maybe NOW the management will do something. When it comes to property damage they're not so casual.

It seems to me like they all should have been tossed in jail for that party but what do I know. That is unbelieveable!!!

    Unbelievable.

    Where is the landowner?

Why aren't these yahoos OUT by now?

It amazes me how bad things can get and still be allowed to continue....

OMG! the girly with the baseball bat will be lucky if she doesn't pull some jail time for that little stunt as I'm sure the property managers will wish to file to the fullest extent on the criminal damage to property charge.

Egads! What a mess! I live next door to a rental, and the previous tenants were college boys, but I think they must have been engineering majors because when they had friends over, it was all very quiet, and there were never more than 4 additional cars (and maybe 2 girls) in attendance. That's how I knew they were engineering majors (ha ha ha).
