Sunday Evening Thoughts
Sun Aug 13 2006

This has been a very strange day for me today. This was Hubby’s first day off in the last three weeks, so it felt like it should be a Saturday.

He was gone for a few hours this morning, #2 had an orientation flight with CAP, so Hubby took the opportunity to disappear and do some homework of his that he has for an upcoming test at work.

This afternoon #2 had an interview at the Wal-Mart McDonalds, so we dropped him off for that and headed next door to Home Depot to price doors. The twins put a hole in the bathroom door horsing around a while back, so the price to replace that will be added to their debt for the phone calls from a couple weeks ago.

His interview went well, and he has a second one later this week. We’re hoping that is a good sign, and that he will be able to go to work in the near future. It will help him pay off his portion of the debt, and go far towards getting the truck he has been talking about.

Of course, he has to get his license first…

Over-all though, this has been a strange day; we haven’t really been in weekend mode, and we aren’t in weekday mode. We’re somewhere in the twilight zone today.

Hubby and I have decided that we want to see World Trade Center. I need to find a couple hankies before we go though. We will probably try to catch it tomorrow afternoon so Hubby can be back in time for CAP with #2. That gives me tomorrow morning to finish the cherry preserves I started today that have been stewing in their own juices since earlier this afternoon.

OK, time to go watch Extreme Home Makeover and get something in my eye.

I get something in my eye every time I watch that show too.

There is NO WAY I can watch World Trade Center. Just the comercials make me start to cry. When the real 9/11 happened I watched the news coverage around the clock literally. It made such a deep impact on me. I am just not ready to see a movie about it. I might never be able to watch one.
