Settling Down A Bit
Mon Aug 07 2006

Things are definitely less stressful now Hubby is home again. Of course, he won’t have a day off until Sunday, but at least I can see him in the evenings and use him as a threat to keep the kids in line.

Stormy is at the vet today getting scooped out, #3 is out looking for friends to hang with, #2 has spent some time this morning applying for a job at a local pet boarding facility nearby, and #1 is actively avoiding doing his homework assignment he needs to turn in on the 16th. As for me, I’m trying to decide what to do with my time today. I’m torn between making Dilly Beans or pickles and just loafing around the house with a good book.

I gotta tell you, the loafing around with a book is ahead in the game at this point. I’ve got a couple chores to get out of the way first though.

I’ve slowly been putting together a first aid box for this CERT thing we’re involved with. Each trip to the store I pick up one additional item for it. I suppose it will be easier to keep together if I were to actually have something to keep it all in. Maybe that will be the next item I pick up. A good sized Rubbermaid container should do the trick!

OK, I’m off to start a load of laundry, vacuum and dust. Doesn’t that sound like fun?

Reading will always top my to do list. However, as we know all too well, there are other things that have to take priority from time to time.

    Tch!

I think it's about time you had a good loaf, with a good book.
