Planning for Peace
Sat Aug 05 2006

Through much planning on my part yesterday, today was (for the most part) a peaceful day.

It all started with a trip to Hollywood Video. I rented a handful of comedies (Ferris Bueller, Real Genius, Mystery Men, She’s the Man and so forth) and hid them until this morning. I then unveiled them for the kids, and enjoyed a very quiet day as each boy chose a movie, went off to a different TV and watched them.

The only issues today came up with the dogs roughhousing on an alarmingly frequent basis. I put them out when I could, but one of our neighbors has a new dog and when the dog is outside all of my dogs and that dog fight through the fence. I try to not put them out when the neighbor dog is out, but they were gone all day today, therefore their dog was outside all day; hence the roughhousing indoors by my dogs.

Oh well, at least the kids behaved.

Tomorrow we have Hubby’s summer picnic for work, and nothing else. I’m anticipating another quiet day.

Monday Stormy goes to see the nice doctors who will be taking an ice cream scoop to her insides, so we will be down to 2 dogs for most of the day and I am hoping that will equal a quiet day on the 4 footed kid front.

I can hope can’t I?

Ahhhhhh, Stormy is having the old OHE, eh? It's better for her in the long run. My dogs rough house constantly and it drives me batty sometimes especially when Chance decides it's necessary to bark that shrill little Terrier bark *shivers* as Maggie pokes him repeatedly with that big wet nose of hers.

RYC: thanks for asking about R's knee. The steroids did bring it down but not all the way and this is his last day on them so I'm thinking that he'll have to have the ortho consult. Strangely enough, the more the fluid goes down, the more painful the knee is which is a total reverse of what we've been told. Go figure..
