I’ve got some green beans on my counter I need to get canned today. I don’t feel like messing with the pressure canner so I’ll probably pickle them. Yum! Yesterday I did apricots and plums. I want to do some fruit cocktail; that will probably be later this week when I decide what all I want to put into it. I plan to go from store to store probably tomorrow and buy whatever is on sale at each store, then use those to put into that batch of canned items. Which reminds me, I wanted to do a batch of salsa too, I should keep an eye out for those ingredients too.
I do need to make a bank run today to move some money around to pay for the class this term. I should get to doing that soon before I bump into high traffic times in a few hours.
I called Hubby earlier today to ask when the soonest would be that he could take a couple days leave from work. When he asked why I informed him that I’m taking a vacation when he can be home for a few days. I’ve got to get a break from the kids for even just a day. Between the 900 fiasco, and the attitudes of teenage hormone overloaded systems, I need a vacation, and I need it desperately. (Steve, I may see if I can bunk at your house for a weekend sometime in the next month!) Hubby won’t be able to take any time off until the last half of the month, so I’ll ply myself with chocolate and beer (not at the same time mind you) until I can get that break.
I admit it, I’m a stress eater, and I’ve got the hips to prove that I live a stressful life. Boy do I wish I lived in a universe in which chocolate cake was good for you!
