The Scholarship search
Sun Mar 17 2002

I have been online all day today looking for money to go to school with.

I have found just under 100 scholarships I qualify for.....if I were going to be a full time student. I'm not though, I will be a part time student. Of those I found, only 3 do not specify that they are for full time students.

Well, that is better than nothing!

I have to wonder though, with all the publicity about the money that is available, specifically for non-traditional students, or people returning to school after a break, where is it?

What I find the most encouraging is how much is out there that is right now, and hopefully in the future, available for my kids! They don't know it yet, but in the next year or so they will be starting to apply for all of those out there for kids not in school yet!

Next I get to go look for money for Hunkka-hunkka hubby. Fun-fun!

Well, at least it should be easier for you within the states, imagine me, a student with a Honduras citizenship...It's almost an impossible task.
I need to get 10,000 to do my educational-practice in the states.

I have been doing the internet scholarship search also. Lots are out there, unfortunately it easy to get "weeded" out for one thing or another. I used the fastweb.com---I like it as it sends you an email when it finds a scholarship that might work for you.

What do you want to tkae up a scholarship in?? Checked out the website, too bad they dont have any for Singaporean students. About the two not specifying whether or not you have to be full time, you better get them checked. Many of the adverts tend to leave out vital bits of information. Ive learnt how to prepare myself for slight shocks or dismay that may come from telephone calls to these places.

I have found that there are lots of scholarships offered at the specific school you are applying to go to. You might want to check with the financial aid office as well :)

    Good luck!
