Reflections of the Day
Wed Mar 29 2006

I spent a lot of time today working on my English homework. I have a printer that works reliably now, so I was able to print out the articles I need for tomorrow night. Now I’m working on putting the rest of the assignment into electronic format so I can print it off too.

I don’t suppose there are any professional writers or English teachers out there that can look it over for syntax or grammar errors? Maybe not.

Today was the kids half day at school. Every Wednesday during the year they have a half day. As a result, there are no other half days during the year, and no “in service” days. They were all able to get their chores done quickly so they could hang out with or play with their friends. #1 had some homework, but seemed to get through it rather quickly. #3 has been with friends every minute of his free time, and #2 is just enjoying himself puttering around and not doing anything other than relax.

Hubby just got home, and he is changing out of his uniform into something more comfortable. He loves the fact that he doesn’t have to go anywhere this evening. This will be the first evening in about a week where he can stay home and relax.

As for me, I’m enjoying tapping away on my laptop and homework while watching Survivor reruns. I’m looking forward to Bones and Lost tonight. I may even indulge myself and have a glass of wine or beer while I watch those. As for now, I need to step away from this diversion and finish my homework.

See ya later!

Hey, I'm the Grammar Kid. My specialty. Send the English homework to me, and I'll be glad to edit it. Lots of experience.

    Seriously.

Every wednesday is a half day? For the whole year?

How many other half or 'in service' days would they have a year?

When I was teaching I think we had 1 maybe 2 teacher only days a year...the rest of the time kids were at school all day....

    Interesting stuff.

I'm qualified to teach English, and I like to think I'm pretty good at it - so if you want a few pairs of eyes to take a look at your work, just lemme know :o)
