We’ve had snow since yesterday, but I don’t think it will be around for much longer. While it will still be cold, it will be warm enough to melt the remaining snow.
The kids were in heaven yesterday, schools were closed due to the snow. We are known for our wet weather around here, but our winters are mild enough that nobody knows what to do when it does snow. Yesterday 3 inches of snow was enough to close all the schools and many of the businesses in the area.
None of it mattered much to #2 as he managed to get himself suspended on Thursday. It is my fault really. My alarm clock did not go off, and subsequently I didn’t wake up until the twins were walking out the door. Since I wasn’t up, they didn’t get their meds. Unlike #3, who will go find and take his meds as soon as he wakes up. #1 and #2 never remember on their own, or just don’t want/like to take their medication. If I’m not up in the mornings, they don’t get their meds. As a result, #2 couldn’t control his temper and displayed his vast colorful vocabulary for his biology teacher and got himself suspended.
With #2 suspended came his grounding. While his brothers were out playing in the snow yesterday, he got to clean house. I did let him out for a bit to bleed off some of his excess energy. While one would think he would be having fun outside, I actually was having him shovel off the driveway and sidewalks. Outside yes, fun… not so much.
Today we have the family Christmas party for Hubby’s work. Before that though, Mom and I will be heading out to do some shopping. I expect she and Dad to arrive any time now, but will be giving them a call in a bit to be sure they are even awake yet. They have their new 5th wheel set up at a camp ground not too far away, and I’m not sure if they have an alarm clock in the rig. While they aren’t really ones for sleeping in (I seem to be the only one in the family who does that) they have been back and forth across the country a couple times now so their internal clocks should be quite confused.
As for right now though… time to change laundry loads.
