A Day In The Life

Hubby and I took Shelby out for a good long walk, including an off leash romp in the park.  We had her there running almost constantly for about 20 minutes, then walked home.  She was then fed and crated and FINALLY she is settled down for a nap.  I feel confident that I can get the rest of the laundry that is currently in the system done, as well as dinner made if she stays down for a while!

I found some Puppy Teething Biscuits at the store, and have taken to giving her these instead of the noon time meal I was giving her before.  They have been working wonderfully and keep her focused on them for about 45 minutes or so at a shot.  It is enough time to cycle through some laundry and either load or unload the dishes.  She stays on one of the dog beds while chewing on these, so she is able to be out of her crate during that time.  If the kids have friends over though, she takes her biscuit into her crate so she is undisturbed by anyone.  I think these things are something I need to find out if Costco carries.  Buying them in bulk would be a very good thing!
