So, I was talking with my SIL Kathy a while back about this diet she and my bro are on. They have lost a ton of weight (not literally of course) on this diet and it has worked wonders for them. She told me a little about the diet, and about an "approved" cereal that they can eat, Uncle Sam.
I thought I'd give this cereal a try, so I bought a box. Admittedly my decision to buy it was influenced by the fact that it was on sale, but I bought it nonetheless. I had a bowl of it this morning, and spent the first two bites trying to convince myself that it was yummy. I finally tossed that idea, and put some honey on it. After a few more bites, I put more honey on it. This cereal definitely needed something, hot fudge maybe. The additional honey did no more than the first bit of honey did. Maybe if I put a bit more in, and let it soak for a while!
I did that, and tried another couple bites, then gave up.
There is nothing on this earth that will make that cereal palatable. I'll dig around and see if I can find a recipe for muffins or cookies I can use it in. Something with lots of sugar, and lots of other things to cover the taste and texture.
