...To raise a puppy.
I’m bushed! So far today I’ve had to take apart her crate and clean it twice, she has had one bath, 5 walks, 2 meals, 12 games of fetch, 7 games of Chase Mommy’s Shoes While She Jogs Across The Yard, 23 ear scratches and 34 belly rubs, one trip in the van in her crate when I had to run to an appointment, and FINALLY she is taking a nap.
I’ve decided that for the next 2 months I’m going to alternate keeping one of the kids home every day so I can get a break during the day.
OK, just kidding.
I am on my 3rd load of laundry so far today due to Shelby, a.k.a. Princess Puddles. I don’t think I have a clean towel in that house that is not currently in the washer or dryer. Speaking of which, I need to go change loads while she is asleep.
Boy, she is sure lucky she is so darn cute!

- From:MsLauren (Legacy)On:Mon Sep 12 2005Having a 9 month old boxer, oh how I can relate! (And then some! lol) The best advice I received from Tank's breeder was "a tired pup is a good pup", so I keep Tank as busy with games and fun as I can! (Not that he's bad or anything. Oh no, not MY boy! lol...he's just ummmm very mischievious!) ;-)
Lauren - From:TxSweets (Legacy)On:Mon Sep 12 2005Princess Puddles... Ha!
Michael can't wait to get a dog. Correction. Mike can't wait to get a couple of dogs. Big dogs. When we're finally in a position to do so, I'll have to remember to add a stipulation that HE takes care of the puddles part.
I mean, it's only fair, isn't it, if I took care of all the baby's puddles, that he should get to tackle a few of his own? *L* - From:Pragmatist (Legacy)On:Tue Sep 13 2005LOL!
Get a cat. They're much easier to train. They take to the litter box without a second introduction. And they sleep. A LOT.
Shalom - From:AnneOakley (Legacy)On:Tue Sep 13 2005LOL-Princess Puddles. Cute.
I always call Truck as Mr. Squirter!
I kept asking my mom to save plastic (grocery store) bags for me. Every time, Mr. Truckie pooped and turned around to his poop. He would stare at it for a long time till his nose dripped. He doesn't like any flies hanging around his poop. My Golly! I have to clean up right after his mess so that way, He won't stare at it forever. LOL
Enjoy with Princess :)
Hugs, AO - From:Sugardancer1007 (Legacy)On:Tue Sep 13 2005I remember when we got our rat terrier puppies (2 of them - they will be a year old in Nov). They were SO much fun and SO much work in the beginning. Now they aren't so bad but they ARE bed hogs if you let them which we don't do very often. Why we got 2 in the first place is beyond me but I'll blame Thomas because he isn't here to defend himself at the moment! LOL!! You can't help but love them and appreciate them though.
Have a great day! :) - From:Pinkspiritlady (Legacy)On:Tue Sep 13 2005The puppy would sleep better if it could cuddle with a human rather then be locked up in a crate.
