Harpoon a Piñata!

… what a wonderful phrase! Harpoon a Piñata, ain’t no passing phase!

OK, enough silliness.

Oi, what a week! This week has seemed like errands from hell. We’re in the middle of refinancing the house, I’m trying to get all the kids appointments in before school starts, we’re painting the garage, re-arranging furniture, doing school shopping, and trying to get some last minute fun activities in with the kids this weekend before Hubby goes back to work Tuesday and they head back to school Wednesday.

I normally wouldn’t mind all this stuff too much, oh don’t get me wrong, I would still probably complain a bit about it, but it makes it painful to do everything when I had to fill the gas tank yesterday. $85 to fill the van, and just shy of $50 to fill the truck. Ouch! Boy do I wish we owned a Prius! Or even an entirely electric car (I could swear there were some on the market a few years ago, but I can’t find anything on them now).

Right now I’m hiding from furniture, boxes and laundry for a few minutes. I need to get back to it all, but need a break!

#1 and #2 have their school schedules and are raring to go back to class. #1 is taking the performing arts track at the school, and in addition to his drama elective his English class is based around drama. #2 had chosen the business track and has an Accounting class, English with a Debate emphasis and a Business Law class. I’m not sure he really realizes what these classes are. Hubby and I are concerned that he will be bored to tears by the classes, but he insists that this is what he wants to do. We will see how it goes.

I’ve hidden long enough. Time to face the music … I mean laundry.
