Stuffage

Years and years ago I got my ears pierced, and then in college got a second piercing done to accompany the first. Somewhere in the mists of time between those two events and now, I stopped wearing earrings often.

A lot of that had to do with my working with electronics, and we weren't allowed to wear any jewelry at all on the job. That contributed to the habit of just not wearing jewelry at all. With my ears vacated of the little posts keeping the holes present, they closed over. I haven't been able to wear earrings for quite a while now.

A couple days ago, I rectified that; I had my ears re-pierced.

I remember having no difficulty remembering to clean my ears when I was younger and had them done. Now, I can’t seem to ever remember to clean them. I have the handy little sheet telling me to clean them 3 times a day, but I’m lucky if I remember to do it once a day.

I don’t think this will be a problem, or at least I hope it won’t. I tell myself that they are getting cleaned off at least once a day with my shower. That counts, right?

No?

Bummer.

On to other things…

I stumbled across something on the internet the other day that I thought was cute. I bookmarked it and then played it for the kids later that day. Now this dumb little diddley has been going through my head ever since.

It is called The Llama Song, and admittedly is cute, but it should come with a warning label!

Oh, BTW: the shower does NOT count as cleaning the newly pierced ears. Do you have earrings in the new holes? Much more sanitary, and much easier to clean than a string.
