Canada Or Bust

Well, bright and early yesterday morning I had the kids up, bundled in the car and off for our mad dash to make the Ferry to get to the casting call at 11. They were only seeing people from 11 to 2, so in order to get there on time we had to make the 8:00 ferry.

Well ... it took a lot longer to get the kids up and going than I thought it would, and we missed the ferry by 5 minutes. Bummer.

We decided to go over anyway on a later ferry since we had driven that far, and just play tourists for the day. We caught the 12:30 ferry which put us in there at 2:45. We only had about 4 hours to do this since the last ferry back was at 7:30. That was OK though. 4 hours of sightseeing for my boys was more than enough.

I think the thing they enjoyed the most was the underwater aquarium. They decided that watching 2 octopi fight (or possibly mate, we couldn’t really tell what the melee was all about) was the most exciting part of the day. That was until the ferry trip back when the twins met the group of cute girls. I think for them that event overrode the rest of the day for the twins. #3 was a bit indifferent to the girls, but enjoyed hanging out and playing cards with their younger brother.

Of course on the Ferry trip, there was the mandatory time spent up at the point of the bow yelling “I’m the king of the world!” by anyone on the ferry under 25. The kids stood in line for this for about a half an hour before they got their turn.

We liked the area up there enough that the boys and I are going to talk to Hubby about maybe going up there towards the end of August for a few days of camping.

So, we didn’t make the (as Pragmatist called it) Cattle Call, but it was a fun day.

Don't you hate when you feel like everything is in a bubble? I have days like that and just chalk it up to a lost day. If I do manage to get something done, I am thrilled with myself. LOL!! Hang in there, only a few more hours in the day to go and you'll get some much needed sleep.

Take care and have a good afternoon!

Lol. I had to come see what could possibly make you go ''blah''! But boy, do I understand, after reading your first entry--no wonder you're tired!

    Hugs,

I always figure if my plans don't work out, then the plan wasn't the right one. So, whatever happens, happens because that's what was supposed to happen.

After I learned that lesson, a lot of frustration got taken care of, and I learned to enjoy whatever happened.

So you and the boys had a great day, anyway, and the boys got in a little flirtation, too. What could be better?

    Shalom

Sorry ya'll missed the ferry *sigh*. At least you got a day away out of it.

Hey, while you're at PetCo, pick me up 4 critter tags, a 20# bag of Iams large breed puppy, an 8# Iams mini chunk, a 16# Arm & Hammer scoopable litter (prefferably the crystal kind), a 20# bag of yesterdays news litter and a Kong. 'K?

    *prances off laffing*

P.S. am going to try the ass-pair-a-goose tonight with the shark steaks. Can't wait!!!!!
