All In A Weeks Work
Thu Jun 09 2005

The results of the last week of canning. From left to right, pickled asparagus, apricot preserves, apricot jam (without pectin), apricot jam (with pectin), apricot butter, plain applesauce, spiced applesauce, and caramel apple butter.

I need to re-organize my pantry before I do any more canning so I have shelf space to put it all!

Wow! Don't you just love it when the jars start adding up and you can actually see what you have accomplished?

Dang! Now I'm craving Apricot jam. LOL

Seems to me the owners could be penalized for not demanding that their tenants obey the same rules. Their rental agreements or leases should contain the same CC&Rs that the owners sign. It looks like such a nice neighborhood, too. Such a shame a few people can spoil it.

The neighbors whose driveway is blocked should call the cops and have the car towed. I don't know about where you live, but here in CA it's illegal to block a driveway.

Also cops should be called so at least a complaint of excessive noise could be lodged. Enough of those, and the cops will come out. Not very neighborhly, but they aren't being very mannerly.

If the neighborhood association isn't going to enforce the rules, then call the cops!

    Oh, my, ain't I cranky?

Look at your jars! Oh my, I'm sooo jealous :)

My garden and lawn looks like crap because we haven't get any rain ( only few mintues, and then it just stopped). My marigolds had not peeking out from the Earth yet. I guess the frost already killed'em. :(

    Lovely garden, you got!
P.S. Indigo is a beautiful dog..

The owners of the rental property will have to sign and they in turn should make their tenants aware of the rules and make them also sign something in lease to that effect

    That is not fare

Both your garden and pantry.. are just beautiful. make mine look mighty sparse

although I think one of my tomato plants is trying to get a little blossom
*jumping up and down .. dancing and clapping my hands**

Since we had cooler weather and all this rain my flowers are really bright in color and have grown almost an inch! .. they are doing very well

    :)
you've done a great job there..

Nothing is worse then having bad neighbors. I hope they don't stay for long. I am surprised with all the rules in your neighborhood that they allowed any rentals. I'd keep bugging the association about towing the extra cars. If they don't follow through on their threats then what use are they?
