Pass the Motrin Please
Mon Apr 25 2005

Saturday #1 and I were up bright and early to head across town and walk a few miles in the March of Dimes Walk-a-Thon. We were part of a group from #1’s school. He enjoyed it thoroughly, but I think that may have a great deal to do with all the cute girls that were in the group.

We spent the rest of the weekend putting in my garden. Saturday we bought the lumber and built two 10’ X 4’ beds. Sunday we had the soil delivered and moved it from the dumped pile in the driveway into the beds in the back.

Today, I spent the day moving as little as possible and taking Motrin as often as possible. I don’t think my feet have hurt this much since I last wore combat boots. I have discovered muscles in places I didn’t know I had muscles. I think the only thing that doesn’t hurt is my left earlobe, and even that is not certain. I had hoped to transplant many of the seeds I started, but today that just wasn’t going to happen. Maybe tomorrow I can move without groaning too much.

I’ve got a ton of homework to do that I didn’t get to on the weekend, and I’m having a hell of a time of it. I can’t remember how it was that I had everything set up before I deleted it. Looking at what I have now makes no sense and I’m starting to think I need to just scrap it all and start over. I need to have some success with this soon. All the walls have dents on them from my beating my head against them. Even the dents have dents.

OK, time to try to fall asleep again. Maybe I can get my mind to shut off now.

Wish me luck!
